Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

TAKE A STAND TODAY

By now you might have heard that the Girl Scouts of Colorado flipped-flopped on their decision to allow a boy to become a Girl Scout.   Seems that local Girl Scout leaders in Colorado denied a parent’s request to allow her son to join the troop and the parent went over the local heads to the state organization.  The state organization’s leaders have gone on record stating that they are “an inclusive organization…If a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout.”   Young seven-year-old Bobby – born a boy, yet insists that he is a girl – can now be a member of what has until recently been an organization designed exclusively for young girls.

The state organization’s statement using the term “inclusive” is the first clue that the higher ups in the Girl Scout organization have more of an agenda than doing service projects and teaching such things as camping, cooking, and sports skills.    “Inclusive” is a buzz word or term that denotes familiarity and acceptance of homosexual and transgender advocacy.

Ever wonder why the politically correct crowd and their attorneys haven’t gone after the Girl Scouts like they’ve relentlessly attacked the Boy Scouts?   Because there’s no need to; the Girls Scouts caved to the leftist agenda years ago.   They’ve “allowed for flexibility” regarding the Girl Scout Promise, stating that “individuals may substitute wording appropriate to their own spiritual beliefs for the word ‘God’.”  Lesbian Girl Scout Leaders ?  No problem; Girl Scouts are inclusive.  Providing young girl scouts with comprehensive sex education?  No problem.  That shouldn’t surprise anyone since many of their national leadership hail from the ranks of Planned Parenthood.

This is not the first time that the Girl Scouts have aligned themselves with those engaged in radical social engineering.  Our colleagues at C-Fam reported last year on the antics of the Girl Scouts at the UN.  We at United Families International can corroborate their story, we had representatives there.

As Terrence McKeegan of  C-Fam reminds us:

GSUSA [Girl Scouts USA] is one of 145 member organizations of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).  Going back at least to 1990, IPPF and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) partnered with WAGGGS and World Young Women’s Christian Association (World YWCA) to promote family planning and “adolescent reproductive health.”  The WAGGGS website from the just concluded UN Commission on the Status of Women has a page in which young people “demand their sexual and reproductive rights,” including “access to comprehensive sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health services, including contraception and emergency contraception, in order to avoid unintended pregnancies” and also demand that “accessible, affordable and safe abortions should be made part of the minimum packages of sexual and reproductive health services.”

Yes, your local troop maybe doing all the wonderful things that you did as a girl and recognizes as being the hallmark of the Girl Scouts.  Yes, the Girl Scout leader in your neighborhood may be dedicated to teaching, training and creating amazing experiences for young girls.  But please understand when you buy some of those yummy Girl Scout cookies you are also supporting a specific agenda that might not be to your liking.

Right now that agenda includes forcing all the little girls (and their parents) in a Girl Scout unit in Colorado to participate in fiction.  They must all pretend that seven-year-old Bobby is a girl.  And saddest of all, they must all pretend that this is actually helping Bobby.

Contact Girl Scouts of America Chief Executive Officer, Anna Maria Chavez, and let her know what you think of this development.
