There are two stories I would like to tell you about: one is about my 7 year old grandson, and the other is about me when I was in the 3rd grade.
My grandson, James, likes to walk off moping and saying “Everybody hates me.” I know the song that has this phrase in it so I play it for him and I even bought some candy ‘worms’ for him to offer him when he does that – “Do you want a worm James?” It allows us all to have a laugh and take the tension out of the room. Here are the words:
“Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I’m goin’down the garden to eat worms
Long thin skinny ones, short fat fuzzy ones
Ooey gooey, ooey gooey worms”

Why is this so annoying? Sometimes even as adults? When one has received the authority and permission to do something, it is aggravating when someone else waltzes in and pretends to have the same authority and permission, but doesn’t. The LGBT community wants rights and privileges that don’t apply to them or involve them.
APPLICATION:
There are some situations in our society which would fall into the above two categories – No one dares call anybody names, or even LOOK like we’re thinking of those names. There are many who want same-sex marriage with all the rights and privileges which accompany legal and traditional marriage. They don’t want anyone to be uncomfortable around them; they don’t want to be treated any differently and yet they want ‘special consideration.’ They pretend that they contribute just as much strength and positive benefits to society as the married man and woman; they make a mockery of the institution of marriage.
They then adopt children to add to the lie that they are a real family – belying the fact that children have a right to both a mother AND a father and marriage isn’t just about meeting adult “needs” and desires. They demand that they be given special ‘rights’ and then on the other hand they discriminate against those who believe otherwise – calling people who disagree with them homophobes, intolerant and religious zealots. In today’s climate they are even suing businesses for their beliefs and taking away their livelihoods. Their actions are growing more and more tyrannical.
