A recent story about a popular department store removing gender specification labels from all their products has caused clamoring of so many people. While many people do not concern or fret that a person’s sexual identity is entirely reliant on the gender neutral toys or merchandise being purchased for developing children, warning bells seem to be sounding to this decision.
One of the biggest concerns is how society goes about not offending everyone’s sexual views. People are told that they can live without concern of what others think, because not being liked is a form of discrimination. Millions of voices vocalize the discomfort to this issue. There is no such thing as not offending people. it is more offensive to expect and even invite reasons to be offended than to just let people purchase items specific to the gender they choose to identify with.
What other problems may exist in eliminating the gender specifications? Perhaps one of the biggest issues is why a society may develop a mentality that being ashamed of the sex a person is born to be can be unimportant. How do we politely address people who appear totally gender neutral? It is way more embarrassing and offensive to guess what sex to call a person than to have gender specific items to help classify another human being’s sexual identity.
A gender neutral society is the recipe for greater problems. Gender roles may be artificially interchangeable, but gender neutral appearances can be confusing to a sexual identity a person may feel inclined towards by nature. There is nothing to be ashamed of about being inclined to obey nature. Wanting food when nature calls, taking a shower when the need feels right, exercising when you feel like it; or just plain out being the sex you were born to be is a call human beings should not obsess over. like it or not; everyone is assigned an anatomical gender and sexual identity at birth by the final development in the womb; when an infant acquires a penis or vagina. Which is a greater injustice found in nature; assigning a predestined gender or experiencing everything that nature urges us to be? This is not about insulting gender anymore, it is about washing away the natural beauty of sex.
