“The only way to end abortion is to change popular culture,” insists my astute 20-year-old daughter. My question is “How exactly do you do that?” You have to be “hip and cool” to impact popular culture – which I have to say is a difficult, if not impossible task, for those of us who have lived out our long lives as part of the pro-life movement.
A new short film is one group’s effort to deliver a pro-life message. The film addresses abortion from the perspective of an aborted child. It is jarring and disturbing and probably over sensationalized and simplistic, but I applaud the effort. Who knows who it might reach and lives that might save.
I’m curious to know what those of you who are “hip and cool” think. If you don’t like the film – don’t just blast it – give us some constructive ideas of what should be done to create a culture that understands that with abortion, everyone loses.
