Dear Friends of the Family:
Each year, life seems to bring to us some good, some crazy, and some hard things. While reviewing the year for United Families International (UFI), we are so grateful for the many wonderful things that have happened this year, and the blessings we recognize.
UFI has a wonderful volunteer staff that have given so much time, and greatly contribute to the success of our organization! From our social media, World Family News, Homefront, writing, and UN teams, we have been blessed with people dedicated to give what they can to proclaim and share the research and truths about the importance of family, life, marriage, gender and religious freedom. We are so grateful for their daily contributions to UFI! If you are interested, we would love to have you volunteer with us, too!
UFI has some wonderful tools and products for you! Find and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. (See our Facebook page here, and our Instagram page here). These teams are working hard to share the latest important and relevant information. Additionally, our World Family News team gathers and publishes articles from around the world related to our pillars, bringing you a collection of at least eleven new articles each day. (See the World Family News website here.) They also send out a weekly compilation email of their top article picks to keep you informed.
Our HomeFront Project team continues to develop our HomeFront Kids. HomeFront Project (check it out here), set up like a classic book club, focuses on twenty topics related to our day, giving you added education, and tools to discuss these issues with others. HomeFront Kids (check it out here,) allows adults to go through the HomeFront program, while simultaneously empowering their children with a greater understanding of the issues and preparing them to intellectually respond to peers and adults and be prepared for whatever may be coming their way.
Additionally, our website has great tools for helping you engage in the local policy process. For people within the United States, visit our Your State page and learn who your local officials are, how to get involved in the voting process, and more. Our Advocacy Tips booklet answers some common questions and provides great tools for becoming a more effective advocate on our issues.
What better tools to help you stay current and be prepared to stand up and speak out as an advocate for such important issues. The world needs your voice, and we are here to help you confidently take hold of those moments
International Impact
This year UFI was approached by a coalition of universities in Uganda with a request to help teach their students, and student leaders, how to strengthen their families and give them additional tools for greater success. This Inter-versity Mentorship Forum has been an exciting project. Meeting twice a month and sharing information from experts on a variety of topics, UFI is helping prepare these students to have strong families and be a voice for good in their communities.
Furthermore, our United Nations (UN) team works throughout the year to connect with UN Missions and Delegates. We analyze UN documents and guide like-minded delegations through document negotiations with our language grids. We assist and encourage them in their work. As one Ambassador told me, “It can be challenging work, and being reminded we are needed to represent and defend the voice of so many around the world, in this space, and to know we are not alone, is SO important. Thank you!
Speaking of our UN Team – there is an exciting new project making its debut on March 13 and 14 of 2024. While the UN continues efforts to silence the pro-family/pro-life voice it is still a message that needs to be heard. Therefore, we will be holding the first CSWF – the Conference on the State of Women and Family, this March at the UN. UFI is dedicated to defending those things that are crucial for healthy societies and communities – life and strong families among those critical elements. Joining with voices from around the world we are creating a place where country leaders can share their efforts to strengthen the family, and NGO’s can share best practices, research and information to guide countries and individuals in their efforts. It’s going to be a fabulous conference and keep this essential discussion alive.
How can I help?
This new conference will be a vital new addition to meetings at the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women and we need your support to make it a success. The cost to host a conference is not cheap. Yet, keeping the pro-family voice alive during the largest international conference on women in the world is critical. The impact this conference can have on the international community during the coming year, and in the future, cannot be over stated.
Your financial donations are a generous contribution to our work and the important principles we defend. We always strive to be frugal and mindful when using your contributions. Your financial donations will assure the voice of the pro-life/pro-family community isn’t silenced. Please, help us to continue the work of United Families International and make a grand impact during these important meetings in March by donating to UFI.
Your daily efforts to speak positively about marriage and family, to get involved in the political process, or at your local schools and school boards is also a very needed and valuable contribution to the defense of the family. We encourage your efforts to engage in this work. UFI is always looking for volunteers who are willing to contribute their time, writing skills, computer and videography skills to our work. If you are interested in volunteering with UFI, please contact us!
Thank you for your support of UFI and our projects! May we all be blessed with a wonderful and successful 2024.
Forward for families!
