Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

The fight to maintain the natural family, parental rights, decency, and a respect for life in a society inundated with media that preaches the opposite is a hard fight. It’s hard to convince people that the opinions they once held about family, marriage, sexuality, gender, and freedom anywhere from 50 to 10, to 5 years ago are true and good when their movies, books, and news media constantly tells them they were wrong or unenlightened or just lacking love and compassion. On rare occasions a person the public feels is important says that actually, the media is wrong.

The past week, this has happened a couple of different times. On Monday, a federal judge in Texas issued a nationwide injunction barring the federal government from taking action against schools that refuse to initiate the Obama Administration’s transgender rules. The Obama administration used Title IX (a 1970s law that required schools to offer similar programs for both boys and girls) to support their guidelines that allow transgender students to participate on sports teams and use bathrooms and lockers opposite to their biological sex.

Judge Reed O’Connor said that Title IX, “specifically permits educational institutions to provide separate toilets, locker rooms, and showers based on sex, provided that the separate facilities are comparable.” So now until the courts look over this issue local schools can decide for themselves whether or not they will implement the new federal guidelines.

Another bit of good news came when Dr. Lawrence S. Mayer, an epidemiologist trained in psychiatry, and Dr. Paul R. McHugh published their review of over 200 peer reviewed studies on sexuality and gender identity and determined that none of the research can scientifically conclude that people are born homosexual or transgender.

Mayer and McHugh wrote that “the ‘born that way’ notion that homosexuality and heterosexuality are biologically innate or the product of very early developmental factors” is “not a view that is well-supported by research,” even though, “there is some evidence from … twin studies that certain genetic profiles probably increase the likelihood the person later identifies as gay or engages in same-sex sexual behavior.”

They also reported the increase in mental illness and suicide rates found in the LGBT population.

Speaking about the new way of treating cross dressing or gender confused children with hormone blockers and changing their identity to match that of the opposite sex, Mayer and McHugh said “children are a special case when addressing transgender issues,” and that, “only a minority of children who experience cross-gender identification will continue to do so into adolescence or adulthood.”

After examining the neurological and genetic research on gender identity and its origins, the doctors concluded that, “there is little evidence that the phenomenon of transgender identity has a biological basis.”

The final bit of good news actually comes from California. A bill that would force Christian based universities to abandon their honor codes which expect students, professors, and employees to live by Church standards of morality has yet to pass and there are only eight days left before the California legislature adjourns. There was a lot of backlash over the bill. Many rightly stated that California would ultimately erase religious schools from the state.

The LGBT lobby is strong and well-funded. Doctors Mayer and McHugh risk their careers simply by reporting the truth they have found. These advances supporting parental rights, freedom, and religion in the courts and legislatures are hard fought and seldom won. When truth is spoken and freedom is preserved, it is from the sacrifice of good people who have real love and compassion toward their fellowman and wish to preserve freedom and healthy family life for all.
