Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

ref 71Last week, Microsoft Corp. donated $100,000 to Washington Families Standing Together, a gay-rights organization pushing the passage of Referendum 71 in the state of Washington. Referendum 71, if passed, would extend legal protections and rights to domestic partnerships equivalent to that of legally married couples, directly undermining marriage and opening the door for same-sex marriage.

This is just one in a long series of actions by the Microsoft Corporation to assert its advocacy of same-sex marriage and homosexual rights. A position that should make most look a little more carefully to Apple next time they are purchasing a computer.

The Microsoft donation  is a huge blow to the already struggling campaign to defend marriage and the family in Washington. According to the state Public Disclosure Commission, Washington Families Standing Together has raised nearly $780,000 with the addition of the Microsoft donation. Protect Marriage Washington, the campaign opposing the bill, has raised only $60,000 to date and beginning Oct. 13, donations from companies and individuals will capped at a $5,000 maximum.

If you can help support marriage and the family in Washington in this David and Goliath-like battle, we encourage you to visit Protect Marriage Washington and donate. And keep in touch with UFI. We will keep you updated as the campaign develops.
