Thanks to your responses and the involvement of the Bluedogs, the Obamacare momentum has waned; giving time for additional analysis and debate over what UFI sees as an all out attack on the family by way of limiting provider choice, turning abortion into a right that is funded with tax dollars, and leading to end of life options like euthanasia through rationing of health care.

The Battle is Not Over

The House version of Obamacare, or, H.R. 3200, did not get a full vote as planned. However, the battle is not over. Come September, after summer recess, health care will be the top priority and once again President Obama will make every attempt to push it through Congress.

Chance to Voice Concerns Again

Expect to see your Congressman and U.S. Senator hold Health Care Townhalls over the break. Your voice of reason is key in preventing the anti-family provisions from passing.  Consider attending a Townhall and asking the following questions:

     Will abortion services be allowed under the plan? And, will abortions be funded with taxpayer money?

     How will the plan be funded? And, will the funding result in a higher budget deficit?

     Will elected officials be exempt from the plan?

     Will care to seniors, the disabled (including babies born with health problems) be rationed?

     Will Medicare coverage be cut to help fund the plan?

     Will you promise that I can keep my health plan and doctor for as long as I determine?

     Will families be taxed to pay for the plan?

Join the hundreds of thousands of family advocates that are alerted and involved. UFI's efforts along with a strong coalition of pro-life/pro-family groups have successfully shown Congress that we will not sit idly by and allow those that do not respect life to force their agenda into a government run health care plan.

Numbers Speak Louder Than Words

In a recent CNN poll President Barack Obama's approval rating dropped seven points from June and is now at 54 per cent - CNN attributed this to the health care issue. Other polls show his approval rating below 50%. Whichever it is, know that the pressure is on, and your voice is making a difference.

Congress will reconvene after September seventh. It is imperative that you continue to contact your Congressmen and U.S. Senators and let them know that you do not support Obama's Healthcare reform.

     Contact the specific BlueDog Coalition of Congressman who lean toward voting no: www.house.gov/melancon/BlueDogs/Member%20Page.html

     Call President Obama at 202-456-1111. Share your point of view.

     Attend your local Healthcare Townhall
