United Families International (UFI) is a 501(c)(3) public charity devoted to maintaining and strengthening the family as the fundamental unit of society. By strengthening the family, the basic building block of society; communities, states and nations are strengthened. UFI is not affiliated with any governments, religious organizations or political parties. United Families International supports the following causes:
- Family – Respect for existing laws, political structures, religions and cultural norms that preserve the family
- Marriage – Marriage between man and woman, founded on chastity before marriage and fidelity in marriage
- Life – The sanctity of human life, including unborn children
- Parents – The right and obligation of parents to love, protect, provide for and teach their children
- National Sovereignty – Respect for the right of nations to determine their own laws and customs.
United Families International is dedicated to promoting pro-family public policies and programs at the local, national and international level. We seek to educate and motivate government, religious and community leaders to work in concert with citizens at the grass roots level to preserve the family. Through our newsletter, The Family Times, and our informative email news alerts, we educate the public on international, national and local issues affecting families. Through our conferences and workshops, we train family advocates to effectively defend the family in public policy.
UFI maintains non-government organization (NGO) status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and works to educate UN ambassadors and delegates on root policies affecting the family. We send representatives, including experts on family issues, to UN conferences to provide legal analysis and peer-reviewed scholarly research in support of UN delegates working to preserve the family. We have been successful in affecting the outcome of numerous UN conference documents and in promoting respect for the family, marriage, life, religion, parents and national sovereignty. Our publication, “The UN Negotiating Guide,” is the most widely used tool at the United Nations for defending the family in UN documents.
We help citizens organize and become effective advocates for the family in the states where they reside, and help them to be a voice on national issues. Currently, we have members and affiliate groups in the United States, Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East.
At the local level, we provide information and tools for citizens at the grass roots to effectively defend the family. We have helped parents remove offensive programs from their schools and pornography from their communities. We have also been instrumental in helping citizens counter legislative issues harmful to families. Our Guide to Family Issues publications provide family advocates and policy makers with vital information that will aid in defending the family.
United Families International relies on donations to support its activities. Donations can be made through our Donate section.
