Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

It is often said that “Time is money!” and that time is the hot commodity of acquiring what we desire most in life. What about people and the memories we make with our loved ones, heroes, and family members that impact each of our lives so greatly? The loss of one person can devastate and unite communities like nothing else. While sometimes the loss of a person can be relatively predictable in some circumstance, no one can ever truly be prepared for the misfortune and grief that is felt as loved ones are missed. Death has a way of getting to the heart and teaching lessons we do not typically welcome. Death helps us to realize what and who is important in our lives.

No one is an exception to an eventual death. Sometimes it can be timely, while other deaths are a total shock. It seems that whenever someone we know passes, it provokes a lot of thoughts that help us re-evaluate ourselves and the people that still exist in our present lives. “Oh my word! I saw them just yesterday, and I was in a hurry and didn’t talk to them!”, “I said some horrible things and never got to let them know I didn’t mean it!”, “I wish I had known; I would have been a lot nicer.”, “I never got to say goodbye!”

All these statements teach something about what we do with our time. The more a person is missed, the more loved a person was to those they impacted. Time can be a gamble, because you never know when it will be the last time. Take time every day to be thankful for the people in your life. Do not let your loved ones leave your presence without letting them know what you would want them to know if mortality ended right now.

It is true that life can be a hard time. People can drive us crazy, and frustrations can arise often. Like people in our life, these moments can be short-lived. Life has meaning and value whether we think so or not. Every life is dear and precious, and someone always cares for us from the cradle to the grave. Life is about making the most happiness of what we get with those who are here. Life is much too short to worry about temporal things.  Spend time making things right, because you never really know if you will regret having time run out. You only live once! Make every moment count with what time you are given, because the most unique and valuable things in life cannot be purchased with money.
