Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

TAKE A STAND TODAY

There was a March for Women last Saturday. I did not pay too much attention to it, but it got me thinking about a different march. The March for Life is scheduled just 6 days after this other march.

As a woman and a mother, I feel no need to march for women’s rights. I can vote. I can work. I can get an education. I speak in public. I honestly cannot think of anything that I can’t do that my husband can. But there are millions in this country that do not have those rights. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that all states in the United States must legalize abortion. Since that time more than 58 million babies have been aborted.

That’s 58 million human beings, both male and female, who were never given the right to be born. These little ones never had a voice. They never had any rights.

I’m not interested in marching for rights that women already have. But I can march for babies who were not given the most basic right—the right to life. On Friday, I will go to Washington DC and join others in a march to give a voice to the voiceless. The life and dignity of my fellow men is something worth marching for.
