Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

In the wake the Gosnell trial, the US House of Representatives passed a law that would ban abortions after 20 weeks gestation. The bill called, “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,” includes exemptions for pregnancies that threaten the life of the mother, and documented cases of rape and incest resulting in pregnancy.

The vote was 228-196, with six Democrats and all but six Republicans voting in favor of the ban. While still uncertain that such a bill would pass the democrat controlled Senate, President Obama has threatened to veto the ban declaring it “unconstitutional”.

Despite what happens with the bill, the House has spoken for the majority of the nation. In the December 2012 Gallop Poll on abortion 64% of those polled believe abortion should be illegal in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy or after week 13.  86% of those polled believe abortion should be illegal in the 3rd trimester or after week 27.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is based on several scientific and peer reviewed studies that have determined that the fetus’s nervous system is developed to a level of maturity where pain can be sensed.  There is also a physical reaction to pain as well as the release of stress hormones and other responses such as elevated heart rate in the fetus at around 20 weeks after fertilization.

Here is a video of testimony given during the hearings for this bill.  It is graphic, so be aware.  But, abortion is not pretty, in fact it is brutal.  This video tells you why.

We all need to know what is occurring so we can more effectively speak out against it.
